Follow along…

This blog was birthed through a decision to take a year away from work, in the traditional sense of the word, and to use the time I had available to travel through the United States, to explore National Parks, to meander across trails (on both bike and foot) and to essentially take a moment to pause and consider what is most important to me.

Through this experience I gained a deeper appreciation for my love of the outdoors and the lessons that time outside has to offer. Being in nature, moving my body, connecting with the earth and minimizing some of the noise that is coming at us from all angles – this brought me closer back home to me. This continues to bring me back home to me, day after day. With every decision to carve some space and escape to a snowed in forest, to wander through the slot canyons of the desert, to sit on the ocean’s edge and just watch as the tide rolls in, I learn something new about myself, the strength that lies within, the passion that bubbles at the surface.

This blog is a documentation of the lessons I learn from the natural world, the inspiration I glean. My hope is that my own reflections provide some source of inspiration for you too, a means of finding your own back to the home within you.

Finding my way back to me…
